On behalf of the Board of Directors of the American Water Resources Association, I would like to thank you and the Board of Directors of the American water Resources Association, Florida Section for your continued support of the Richard A. A JOINT VENTURE OF THE FWEA AND AWRA FLORIDA SECTION

Dear Reader,

On behalf of the Florida Watershed Journal (FWJ) Executive Planning Committee, we are pleased to electronically publish the Winter 2012 Issue, entitled "Global Water Issues and Florida." This issue includes four dynamic papers covering global water issues and how those translate back to Florida.  The papers include information on global volunteerism, cooperative  large-scale engineering projects, and unique international perspectives on Florida's water resource challenges.  We hope our readers will enjoy these papers on this timely and important topic.

We are also excited to let you know that the FWJ has updated our website (http://www.floridawatershedjournal.com).  As part of the work on our website, we've also joined Twitter (username: FLWaterJournal) and LinkedIn (you can join our group, Florida Watershed Journal).  Our new means of e-communication will provide new and interesting ways to correspond with our readers and authors and we look forward to hearing from you.  Please visit our new website, follow us on Twitter, or join our group on LinkedIn.

Sincerely,
